Website September 2009

Welcome to the Australian Wildlife Supplies website. One of the great things about a website is the ability to keep customers up to date with product information, promotions and news.  The website will be updated regularly so there will always be something fresh and interesting.  Yeah right!  It took me six months just to do this bit.  We are a little busy with wildlife caring, taking care of our customers and going to shows but I'll do my best.

Below is a photo of one of our tables at the recent Koala Awareness Information Night run by the R.S.P.C.A. Qld at Strathpine.  It was all about raising awareness of the plight of our Koala's declining population and how we can all play a role in ensuring they don't disappear forever.

In Care September 2009

There is a photo of a little Brushtail possum called Alex that we have in care.  He still has a few months before he will be ready to go back to his natural bush home.  Like many of our native animals and birds, Brushtail possum's make their homes in tree hollows.  As wildlife carers we rely heavily on the expertise of the Acacia Ridge Veterinary Surgery and Dr Bohdan Kornizak to help us with the professional rehabilitation of orphaned, injured and sick native animals.

Australian Birdkeeper Magazine

Australian Wildlife Supplies now stocks Australian Birdkeeper magazine.  The lastest issue (Vol 22 Issue 10 Aug-Sept 2009) features Alexandrine Parrot mutations, Hooded Parakeets, Crimson Rosellas, Peal Long-Tailed Finches.  We've always stocked the ABK range of books but are very excited to now offer the Australian Birdkeeper Magazine as well.
